The hotel is located in the village of Schwangau – on a main road which leads into Füssen – near the Gardens, the Tegelberg Mountain Cable Car Station and the Royal Crystal Spa. Neuschwanstein Castle is just a couple of minutes’ drive away.

The Schwanstein Hotel is a typical Bavarian-style property, featuring wooden balconies and a wooden sloping roof with large overhanging eaves. Though small, the lobby contains pale wood furniture and boasts a bright, friendly atmosphere. Varying in size and shape, due to the age of the building, the 31 guestrooms are appointed in a traditional, albeit understated style, with cream décor complemented by crisp white bed linen and dark wood fittings. Many of the rooms have beautiful views of the mountains and Neuschwanstein Castle. The accommodation is distributed over 2 floors, and although there is no lift, the hotel offers specially designed rooms on the ground floor for handicapped guests. Also situated on the ground floor, adjacent to the lobby, the wood-panelled restaurant is cosy and welcoming. Here guests can enjoy a Continental buffet breakfast in the morning, and regional and international dishes for lunch and dinner. Tasty Bavarian snacks are also available throughout the day. In the summer guests can relax in the beer garden, under the shade of the Chesnut trees, and enjoy a pleasant barbecue.
