Owned and run by the Schoell family for more than 100 years, the Kurcafe Hotel is a traditional Bavarian townhouse property with a pale yellow façade, situated in the centre of Füssen. Though fairly small, the lobby leads directly into the restaurant where plenty of seating is available. The 30 spacious guestrooms feature plain cream décor, but this contrasts pleasingly with the richly coloured carpets, patterned fabrics and wood furnishings, as well as the crisp white bedspreads. All are clean and well maintained, as are the tiled en suite bathrooms. Located on the ground floor, the hotel’s long-established restaurant is popular with guests and locals alike. It serves a variety of dishes throughout the day and makes extensive use fresh regional produce such as wild mushrooms and other vegetables. Guests can experience a Mediterranean atmosphere in the sunny winter garden or enjoy the cosiness of the specifically Bavarian restaurant, called "Himmelsstube." The hotel also has its own pastry shop, famous for its delicious fruit tarts and Christmas stollen.
