The Hotel Am Hopfensee is located directly on Lake Hopfensee, the so called “Allgaeuer Riviera". It is approximately 4 kilometres outside of Fussen, in the small village of Hopfen.

The Hotel Am Hopfensee is housed in an attractive, chalet-style building, featuring a sloped roof and wooden balconies adorned with flower boxes. Though not especially large, the traditionally styled lobby creates a cosy, welcoming atmosphere upon arrival, with open fireplaces and a variety of hunting trophies on the walls. The 45 medium sized guestrooms are attractively appointed with soothing, neutral décor and light wood furnishings. Clean and well-equipped, many boast unimpeded views of Lake Hopfensee and snow-capped mountains beyond. The attic-style rooms on the top floor are smaller than the others, with sloping ceilings, but they have their own charm. The hotel’s impressive restaurant is well known throughout the region for serving tantalising national, regional and international cuisine and is divided up into a variety of areas. An ideal setting for breakfast, the Winter Garden offers seating for 45, complemented by breathtaking views of the lake. The Cosy Wine Tavern has a fireplace and seating for 50 people. The Beer Tavern – furnished in a rustic style – has seating for 45 people, while the Sun Terrace has extra large umbrellas and seating for 50 people. The restaurant is open 7 days a week during the following times: Breakfast: 07:00 – 10:00; Lunch: 11:30 – 14:00; Dinner: 17:30 - 21.00. The Terrace is open from 10.00 - 21.00.
